The Four Kinsmen - George Harvey

For GEORGE HARVEY, show business isn’t just what he does, it’s what he is. He has been developing his skills since his early school days when his teachers realised he had a personality & a voice.. a voice that made him the Solo Vocal Champion at Marist Brothers colleges Australia-wide for 6 straight years. Even away from school, George’s place was on stage, starting in amateur productions such as ‘The King & I’, ‘Camelot’ and ‘The Sound of Music’.

After leaving school, George worked at the Maritime Services Board in Sydney for 2 years but his heart wasn’t in it. It was firmly planted on a stage. The next decade was a whirlwind of talent quests, bands and compere work. In the mid ‘70’s, George’s career was as diverse as his onstage costumes. One night, black leather, a rock band & Elvis rock ‘n’ roll. The next night, a dinner suit, a big band and the music of Frank Sinatra.

In 1981, while at St. George Leagues Club with the original Four Kinsmen, George found out that one of the guys was leaving the group. “When you’re looking for a replacement, don’t look any further than me, will you?” They didn’t - and George’s career with the Four Kinsmen began. This career that took him all over the world – from the concert stages of Australia to their own show in a major showroom on the Las Vegas strip.

George is a man of many faces …and he can use them all in just the right situation. In a career spanning over 30 years, George has made a unique success of his abilities as singer, actor, compere / presenter, straight-man and host…basically, whatever is called for!
